No matter what you’ve decided your New Year’s resolution is going to be, everyone should start of the year feeling stress free! With the stress of finals, followed by the stress of the holidays, you probably haven’t had a chance to relax. Use these tips to help get yourself feeling rejuvenated just in time for 2016! Listen to Some Music Tuning out the world to some of your favorite tunes can do wonders for your stress levels. You can find your favorite comfy spot in your home and shut your eyes while you let the music transport you to a place of serenity. Or, take a nice brisk walk while listening to your music. Exercise is also a terrific way to decrease stress levels. The combination of music and exercise will have you feeling relaxed and energized for the New Year. If you prefer a different kind of exercise, get up and move to the music! Dancing is fun and is another perfect way to give stress the boot! Get Together with Friends There is no better way to de-stress other than to get together with your friends and family. Plan a fun night together where you all agree to turn your phones off for the night. The constant need to be attached to our devices can cause us a lot of stress. Unplugging for the night with your friends can be the boost you need to unwind. Instead of staring at your phones, have a board game night or a movie marathon! No matter what you choose to do, you’re sure to be less stressed and ready for the New Year. The New Year is the perfect way to start fresh. Whether your resolution is to be more organized or to eat healthier, the best way to start off the year is stress free. Once you are less stressed, you’ll be able to set your mind on your resolution and tackle it! What’s your New Year’s resolution going to be?
