Celebrate Dad

What would we do without dads? They pick us up when we fall down, they teach us how to ride our bikes, and how to be kind and brave and fair. We look up to them. They’re our lifelong role models. This Sunday is a day for showing them how much we appreciate them and the hard work they put in to raise us into the people we are today. We want to thank them! This Sunday for Father’s Day, treat Dad to a tasty Americana brunch of epic proportions. The Preston County Inn is hosting Father’s Day brunch and you’re invited. What’s Dad in the mood for? French toast? San Francisco Joe’s buttermilk pancakes? Buckwheat cakes? An omelette bar? No matter what he’s hungry for, Preston County Inn has it. They say that the fastest way to someone’s heart is through their stomach but since we’ve already got the in with dad, we’ll let Preston County Inn do the cooking. Make your reservations here and see more of the menu too. Also on Father’s Day this year is the Triple S Father’s Day Family Fun Day. From 11 AM until 3 PM spend the day with Dad at Triple S Harley-Davidson. They will have music, food, and games for the whole family. This is an especially great event if you have younger siblings since they’ll have a lot of activities for younger kids. But just because you and dad aren’t young anymore doesn’t mean you can’t participate in the fun too! Luckily for us, Triple S Harley-Davidson is only a 10 minute drive away from Pierpont Place apartments. If you’re not actually a pro on the grill like Dad, you can substitute these grill cupcakes instead. You’ll need to be a little crafty with the icing and gummy candies but if Dad can master grilling for entire cookouts of people we think you can manage a cupcake for your favorite guy. This recipe will help you maneuver your way around the kitchen. Spend Father’s Day with the real MVP of the day: Dad. He deserves to be treated and pampered a little. That pampering might not be extravagant and not quite measure up to what you did for mom but we know he’ll appreciate the attention. What do you do for your dad on Father’s Day? Share your favorite dad moments with us on Facebook and Twitter.
